Io as Isis: A Lycophronean Myth in Nonnus

This article aims to examine one of the myths belonging first part Nonnus’ Dionysiaca, i.e., that Io. Starting from philological analysis passages dealing with this myth and adopting an intertextual approach, I will argue Panopolitan assimilates Io Isis following Lycophron, authors employed as a model in his poem.
